One month artist residency at Hiawatha National Forest, February 2004: First part - Iroquois Lighthouse on Whitefish Bay and second part - McKeever log cabin south of Munising, MI.
Recipient of the Irving S. Gilmore Emerging Artist Grant, July 2003, for the second voyage in the eastern half of Superior, my first solo art exhibit "Maritime Odysseys and Woodland Encounters" and partial funding for a publication on Lake Superior basin.
Recipient of the Arts Fund Grant from the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, February 2002, for the collaborative traveling exhibition 'Reflections of Superior - Artists under Sail'. Touring exhibit began in June 2002 and lasted until fall of 2004.
Recipient of the Community Arts Grant from the Pharmecia Foundation for creating a Website, www.lakesuperiorcircum.org and the production of a multi-media presentation of the touring artists during the first ircumnavigation of Lake Superior, March 2001.
Recipient of the Arts Fund Grant from the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo for the first circumnavigation of Lake Superior with a rotating group of Michigan artists, February 2001.
Storyboard, animated sequences and produced sets for 'Will You Qualify', a 20 minute video, 1992. Supported by a grant from Michigan Department of Education. New York International and Video Festival Finalist for Children's Programming; Winner of the CINDY Festival Bronze Award in the Counseling Category, Honorable Mention in the Animation Category at the CINDY Festival. Selected for screening at the Athens International Film and Video Festival; Philo T. Farnsworth Awards - Midwest Region for Instructional Programming and Finalist in Children's Programming.
